Medzi 2 najvačšie však patria Crips a Bloods.Vznikli v roku 1969 v South Central LA.Respect vzbudzujú búchačkami AK-97, Tec 9, Mac alebo UYI.
Vznik Gangu Crips:
Založil ho Stanley "Tookie" Williams. Pre gang Crips je typická modrá farba, modré šatky na hlavách a tenisky značky British Knight. Hovoria si BK (Blood Killas) a nepoužívajú písmeno B, namieto neho používajú C aby degradovali Bloods.
Vznik Gangu Bloods:
Vznikli ako obrana proti Cripsom. Nosia na sebe veľa červenej farby, hlavne šatky a pri písaní nepoužívajú C. Nosia veľa módnych doplnkov ako opasky, farebné šnúrky alebo putá.
South Central je protikladom ostatných mestských častí v Los Angeles. Človek bielej farby pleti, ktorý nepatrí k nejakému gangu, je vo väčšom bezpečí ako černoch alebo člen iného gangu. Ale aj tak v South Central zomiera denne mnoho ľudí nevinne v prestrelke alebo len ako náhodný okoloidúci...
